I kid you not. I gave shivers going up and down my spine. Like, wow....

Ditto. Well Since I had this save issue....I'm going to just take a break from skyrim for about 3 months...and let this SKSE be updated for all these mods...cause...like holy crap. The amount of mods and updates about to start flying around the next few months....wow. I won't be able to keep up! Then I'll come in and rebuild my game.

Lol that's great news, but I know it won't help my issue. only reason Id run it now is for the updated SkyUI and honestly, ALPHA, so I'll hold off for a while as 2.2 still works. I've had the bug and it's not bothering me so much right now, but honestly I still have yet to try my papyrus tweaks from LE to see if that would help any.

I doubt it will but LE ran so much better with my papyrus tweaks, I don't see how it could hurt SE.

I was honestly quite fine without SKSE64. People were releasing good mods with alternative methods of setting up the menu, and while it wasn't always perfect, they all worked in the end. I guess I just got so sick of people whining about the lack of SKSE64 and how SE sucks without it, I started hoping it never would happen, while they were busy crying I was playing and enjoying my game. But oh well, good news. Maybe some of the more experienced minds will take notice of this issue now and come over to SE and find a solid fix fr this, or at least a tool that could help us decipher the issue.

I'm glad SKSE has finally has been released. I'm still hoping that it'll be the solution to our bug problem or the skse team will find the source of the bug while they are reverse enginering the game code.

anyway update on the bug in my game.

i'm now 130-ish hours in to my playthrough. i recently managed to play for about 4-6 hours in one session while i played through the forgotten city mod. so I can confirm that the bug doesn't seem to appear in mod added locations. i'll point out however i didn't do any crafting in those 4-6 hours while i played through the quest mod (crafting has always triggered the bug for me.)

removing quest mods after i have finished them and cleaning my save in RE-saver seems to have helped delay the bug even longer. personally i have noted that once i get around 210 esp/esm mark that the bug starts to appear more quickly. however if i am around the 200 mark, I can consistently get a solid 1-2 hours unless i start crafting (which has always caused the bug to appear almost instantly for me.)

I also removed The Recorder companion mod, mainly because she was starting to get on my tits, and also because when the bug appeared it caused her to try and fight me if i accedently hit her during combat (or i punched her for standing in my way yet again tallking about how the theifs in riften stole her sweetroll for the 9th time in 20 minutes).

Anyone else have modded companions AI go nuts when the bug appeared?

Yeah, crafting for me does it every time.

My companions do tend to bug out, but it's more along the lines of randomly teleporting (though that does sometimes happen regardless, they do it a lot more frequently when I'm starting downhill), if I have all 7 of my current test subjects with me, 2 of them will move around in the T-pose and may also be missing a head. Sometimes changing cells helps. Quitting and reloading always helps. There was a very specific bug I encountered where the companions AI would always attack the player on site, I think it's more related to the mod and certain factions than it was accidentally attacking you (though that could also cause it as well... )

*edit* as far as cleaning in ReSaver goes, I actually get to the point where there is nothing to clean. Every now and then I'd have 1 unattached instance related to a follower, but that follower was since removed. When I have issues and save now, load up the file in ReSaver, 98% of the time now there's nothing to clean.

You're the second person to mention something about not encountering the issue in a separate world space, that makes me wonder more if the game is loading some resource improperly and causing some type of memory leak or something that contributes to this. Skyrim itself is fairly large, I wonder if, since most of the separate wolrdspaces (and I'm not 100% positive on this, but fairly certain) aren't as large, that may be contributing to freeing up some resources that keep the game from ever hitting the point to where it's causing the false corruption to appear?

Going to see about loading up Falskaar (IF I can get the script extender to work, I decided to play around with but it's not loading up the game, probably because it's still alpha) and see if I can force the corruption through my crafting menus.
