New game with children: Ro Sham Bo

Since both tag and hide-and-seek are anticlimatic and fraught with "game features", I've been thinking of ways that the children's games could be improved. My favourite idea thus far has been the inclusion of Ro Sham Bo, America's favourite pastime since 1814.

For those of you are unfamiliar with the rules, just watch this short instructional video (EDIT: the video won't play from the browser, but has a link to the youtube address):

Essentially, the way I see it, each offer to play would look something like, "Let's play ro sham bo. I'll go first. (persuade)". If the check is successful, your opponent just stands there and takes the hit, with a randomly determined chance to go down (I'm not sure how to properly scale these chances in the absence of Oblivion-style attributes). However, if you fail, the kid will beat you to the punch (or the kick, so to speak) and get in the first shot. If the victim weathers the first blow, it is his turn to return the favour with a sharp kick to codpiece. This goes back and forth, with incrementally increasing chances of success, until one opponent or the other falls to the ground.

I'm not sure exactly how this would work with female characters and NPCs. Still, it would be funny as hell - even if the NPCs were simply to play it amongst themselves.
