Replacing "bash" with melee weapon attack

Hey everyone,

I want to replace the bash with a melee attack.

For example I want to be able to assign a combat knife as my backup weapon and when I use bash, I won't try to slap a deathclaw with my revolver but stab it with the combat knife instead.

 

 

Is it even possible and if yes, how would I go about it?

Ah, man I thought I was original thinking of that.

maybe try making a copy of the combat knife (and a few other knives for options) and setting it up to be equipped like a grenade? just one you dont throw
