Get stuck between walls or doors

My athletics points are 100 so my running speed is very fast. Recently i often run into the walls or doors, get stuck there n can't go out from there. Sometimes i can get out (if i'm lucky) by jumping crazily or falling down into nowhere n landing on the outside of the walls or if i'm stuck between doors, i search for the door's name n activate it so i can escape by entering the door but mostly i have to reload my save game. What the cause of problems like these usually? Mods or just some bugs that normally happened to a fast runner?

I'd be tempted to think that you have atleast one mod running which affects movement speed, or you have a computer which is so bogged down by processes that it cannot process collision information fast enough. The easiest solution would be to either cheat yourself with lower speed/athletics, or use tcl in console every time you get stuck. Reducing the number of things running in the background, or removing some script heavy mods can also help. Or given the fact that you seem to have so many problems, you might want to compile them all in one thread, and look over your list of loaded mods.

 

Sharing your system specs, and what version of Oblivion you are using, would also prove useful.

I think everybody gets stuck at some time and needs the TCL cheat to get out. I have been stuck when falling between a rock and a wall or between a stalactite and a crate in a cave.

 

Press the ~ key to bring up the console. type TCL and return key. press the ~ key again. That allows you to move through 'solid' objects. then repeat to turn off the TCL.

 

I don't consider it a cheat if it is used to get you out of a place you shouldn't have been able to get into or a place that should be simple to get out of but is impossible due to game physics.

 

Vagrant's comments are good too (as always). too many things happening at a once can screw up the game.
