dragaloa
I have had this problem as long as I have had skyrim. I noticed that my spells were missing graphical "effects", when compared to videos of skyrim I had seen. For example, when casting firestorm spell, I don't see flashy explosion centered to the caster, I see only colour on my screen and flames on npcs which were hit by the spell. I'm not sure why this happens, maybe I need to adjust options, but if so, which option affects spell effects?

jezamarie
I'm having the same issue with any lighting effect, puzzle light beams, spells, dragon's breath etcetera. When I have tried using ENB, it adds those effects back in to the game and it's gorgeous, but I have a ridiculously pathetic CPU and GPU so ENB drops my fps to like... 5 or something. Anyways, I'm wondering if there is a way to find a DX9 dll that adds the effects for us poor suckers without adding all the graphic prettiness and fps dropping stuffs? Anyone? dragaloa
I think I'll try enb myself then, if it fixes. Im however not missing whole spells, theyre just missing some graphics. For what I have experienced so far, for me only some master level spells are wrong, like mass paralysis and firestorm.
dragaloa
Thank you for telling about enb, it really worked! My fps went down as well though, and I have some minor issues, but I guess I survive from it :/
jezamarie
Update: I tried adding the .dll from enb without any of the other files and it adds the missing effects still, but doesn't drop the fps nearly as much. However, I ran into an odd bug. Everytime I would start the original launcher, it would re-detect my video settings. I load with skse_loader though which bypasses the redetect so I'm pretty happy with the balance in fps drop and included effects. I am running a 7600GS and a Intel E2400 Core 2 Duo. So yeah, my fps is stupid low, I could probably update that for pennies and be much happier, but I don't have pennies right now lol.
dragaloa
Good to know, im using SKSE too. I try this today, I myself thought also using only that .dll file, good that it works. My computer isn't too good either, but I like to spend money to all kinds of live roleplaying stuff rather than to a new computer.
dragaloa
I tried it and discovered a few strange things. Always when I tried to delete enb and leave the .dll file there, when I started the game by SKSE enb was still there, and started with the game. Other thing I noticed was, that when enb was now running, loading my save from start screen took like 5 times less time than before. I don't really know should I just keep enb now or do something :psyduck:
