Having a swamp dragon following you around is like having a crate of TNT on a string. One sneeze and your toast. Could be funny, however. Especially if you could "rent" one for adventures.

 

 

Anybody out there familiar with Discworld want to make some campanions to test the water?

How about a test town? Start with the Shades and work your way around.

That is an awesome idea, The Mended Drum should be relatively easy to make and would be an interesting test bed.

 

Put it anywhere, add in some of the custom characters and setup interesting interactions.
