Final Independant Main quest shot

Hello,

I have some serious troubles with my current game. It seems something shoots the triggers for the battle of Hoover dam.

When I meet Yes Man and say I'm ready the last Quest "Finishing Touches" completes and he explains my two options, but then the dialogue ends but nothing happens and my player is stuck (not wall stuck, can't move at all, can't access the inventory, can't use tcl to move out of the area I was standing in). Additionally I don't see the final quest being started. I read that supposedly a popup warning that this is the last quest should trigger but it doesn't either.

Pretty annoying to have this happen at the last quest. I couldn't find anything doing Google. Is there a known issue, can mods cause this (though I don't have any quest altering mods that I know of) and most importantly any ideas how to fix this?

Interestingly I accidently triggered the end game quest for NCR earlier (but actually didn't want to play this end) but I had the same thing happen with Moore when I should have been brought to general Oliver.

This is a rather old playthrough I wanted to finish... sad that.

Ok, I'm trying to mess around with console commands.

tcl is definetely not working, with collisions off I can only float up and down but not move at all. Even whisking me away to a different location doesn't get me out of the box so I assume this is something fundamentally blocking all movement. I assume dialogue

I can finish the last quest and it works so the dialogue seems to be tied to the next final quest. I tried to trigger this manually but nothing happened.

Currently trying to find out what is messed up. Guess I'll have to check out GECK

If anyone has a clue what might have happened, I'd be much obliged. I couldn't find a save where it does work. Also started removing mods but - as said - I have mostly companion, equipment mods and so on, not really anyquest altering ones I know of.

OK, managed to fix it though not sure how/why/what was the ultimate cause.

I had deactivated:

- Repopulated Wasteland

- Reopen Lucky 38

- Lucky 38 suit.

and after some more fiddling (does PC New Vegas also hold a cache somewhere?) the quest triggered normally. Sadly this means all my stuff is gone but hey, have everyone outfited in full power armor and you can't continue after the battle so there isn't so much loss.

I think ultimately Reopen Lucky 38 did something though funnily enough in the end everything worked with all mods active.

What a weird hiccup.
