machuidel
That is not the kind of shimmering I am talking about. There is plenty information already on how to fix the flickering shadows. What I am talking about are the flickering pixels of grass and other foliage, especially far away. Moving pixels are disappearing and appearing.SSAA solves this problem. Setting SSAA to 4x already slows Skyrim down to around 15 FPS which is unplayable.Yet again friends that have an Nvidia GPU do not have this problem and can use 4x SSAA just fine. Even with cheaper cards. The flickering pixels are only visible when moving. So I was thinking that may be some kind of motion blur could fix this problem.Any solution to enable motion blur in skyrim? ita
Can you enable morphological filtering in CCC? If so, try it.
Kazekage1
The flickering of foliage is due to the Ambient Occlusion setting. I have an Nvidia GTX 580 and I have no problem with shimmering unless I set Ambient Occlusion ON. The shimmering is only present while moving, not while standing still. Turn it off if you can in ATI settings (sorry I don't know where) and it will go completely. Edited January 23, 2012 by Kazekage1
thc002
Yep its the same on the 560 TI by NVidia. No flickering without AO,but also much less ambient in the game.
DarkAttractor
I have resolved my trees and other plants shimmer while moving like that: Via .ini edit enable both types of anti-aliasing, TAA and FXAA.With simple text editor in file SkyrimPrefs.ini (in folder Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\ (or similar)) under the line [Display] find and edit 2 lines as shown below:bUseTAA=1bFXAAEnabled=1 BTW beware that this changes can be overwritten, if you later change game's prefferences with other means, like changing options with SkyrimSElauncher.exe.
