MShoap13
Missing textures are generally caused by how horribly the game handles memory in the first place and load orders really won't help too much with this. If you're having crashes at specific times it may be a mod or mod conflict, if you're having crashes/lag spikes when the game goes to buffer exterior cells you should consider getting ENB AntiFreeze v0096. ENB may have an impact on your high FPS but overall it makes for smoother FPS in general with little impact on your average/low FPS in crucial areas while getting rid of a handful of bugs ranging from artifacts to crashes. As far as boosting the memory performance of Skyrim goes, I'm not really sure of anything that helps those of us on 64 bit OSes with 4GB+ RAM. There's a handful of .ini tweaks out there raising the buffer space etc. but these really don't seem to affect much as far as I can tell (my memory usage didn't even increase). You can always look into getting lower resolution map sizes of any texture replacers you may have as overly large textures (4k/2k) eat exponentially more resources than their more reasonable 1k counterparts with little to no noticeable difference in-game. In fact, often the game reduces those 4k textures down to the 1k mip map while drawing them anyways as it uses a complex algorithm to determine which map should be used to draw an object at any given time. When it does do this it doesn't benefit from it as far as the amount of system RAM being used because it still has the entire .dds file buffered (which includes a number of mip maps ranging from 4k to as small as 64x64). Hopefully in the future we'll get some nice SKSE plugins or maybe even integration of memory controlling into TESVAL or SkyBoost. Until then we're stuck dealing with the problems Papyrus has (doesn't feel much better than the memory control packages built in to FO or even Oblivion for that matter...) drail1602
Download BOSS . It will change your esp/esm load order so that plugins are in the right order. This will reduce mod conflicts, maybe help with crashes. This will become more important when the CK comes out and more people are including esps in their mods. As far as textures, textures are overwritten so whatever you installed last is what you will see.
