Skyrim freezes shortly every 2 seconds

Hey people,

 

My Skyrim game freezes shortly every 2 seconds or so. It just runs fluid for 2-3 seconds, then the screen freezes very shortly, then it runs smoothly again for 2-3 seconds, etc.

Framerate drops with approximately 5 fps everytime it freezes shortly. Then it goes back to normal.

Does anyone have a clue about how to fix this?

I fixed it by removing all the mods, uninstalling the game and deleting the (Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim) directory. Then, after reinstalling Skyrim, the stuttering is gone in the vanilla version.

 

EDIT: Now (in the vanilla version), when I alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del out of the game and go back in, I have the same problem. It's possible that was the cause of this strange stuttering. :wallbash:
