AFT - Followers still don't die + WildCat Combat

Hey there, I have some questions for you ! :)

 

 

So, first of all, I installed AFT today because I wanted my followers to die from the hands of an enemy. I've too many followers and I want to add realism to the game. So, I unchecked the box that says "Follower can not die permanently". And I sent him to fight some guards. The follower didn't die! He just went on his freakin knees to regen. Adding to that, I wasn't able to hurt him at ALL when he was following be. I was able to hurt him when he wasn't, but he still wasn't dying. What can I do to make my followers die ?

 

Edit : Vigilance does die ONLY IF HE ISN'T FOLLOWING ME WHEN I ATTACK HIM.

 

Also, I would like to set specific homes to my followers (again, I've too many houses). What mod should I use? Since AFT doesn't make my followers die, I don't want to use a big mod like that only to give my followers a specific location to go when I dismiss them.

 

 

Finally, I downloaded WildCat Combat because I find that Skyrim (Even in Legendary difficulty) is too easy with followers (which I really want to have), but the mod, instead of making the game harder, makes it easier. Even in master difficulty/legendary difficuly. Is there any other mods that I should use?
