Is this supposed to happen, or is it a glitch?

Ok, so it's like this.

 

In a pub/inn in Dawnstar I met a man named Sam who wanted to play a little drinking game. I won, and he offered to take me to some fountain of wine or something to that extent. But then he immediately sat down, and asked if he knew me.

 

This feels like something that would lead to a good quest. Is this a glitch? If so, how do I fix it?

After drinking with him you are supposed to wake up at the temple of dibella and help clean or persuade one of the sisters in markarth to start a chain quest called "A Night To Remember". you should try loading to an earlier save or use a console command to fix, Sorry to say i don`t know the command.

 

After having your third drink with Sam, the screen will sometimes not black out and you will not be transported to the Temple, thus rendering the quest unobtainable.

This is the start of one of the Daedric quests, just sit down beside him and then talk to him, the quest should resume. Edited January 8, 2012 by sendo75

Yup, it's a glitch. Try doing what sendo75 said. If that fails, re-load an older save (assuming you have one) and try it again.

It's quite a good quest, it'd be a shame if you missed it altogether.
