Creation kit: Creating a follower and marriable NPC help

I've been working on a (private) mod that tweaks certain little aspects in Skyrim and yesterday I was trying to add a few NPC's to the marriable list. I started with Idgrod the Younger and did the usual thing:

1. Adding her to the potential marriage faction
2. Making sure her relationship with the player is atleast ally (which is actually true after you complete her quest, so I didn't have to change a thing)

The thing is: This doesn't seem to work. I tried adding her to the follower faction too, but just like the marriage dialogue, it doesn't show up. I tried adding her in-game through the console commands to the potential marriage faction which seems to work just fine, so it can't be the voice type or the relationship towards the player.

My two best guesses are:
1. Another mod is interfering with this one. Not sure which one. It could be the unofficial patch, but honestly, I doubt it.
2. The mod isn't loaded probably. Not sure what I did wrong then. I just actived the ESP in the nexus mod manager as soon as I saved the mod in the creation kit.

If any of you could help me out, that'd be great. I would appreciate the effort.
