shadowstorm1822 Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) having an issue with downloading any mods via the NMM ERRORunable to get write permission for: c:\games\nexus mod manager\skyrim\install info if not via the nmm how else can I install? I was trying to install racemenu when I got that error. damodder won't read the file and other mods i try to load via damodder causes the damodder to go unresponsive.is there any other ways to install mods here? shadowstorm1822 Posted January 4, 2017 Author Share Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) still not working, I didn't think of looking at the details on the error, and it's telling me to do something i'm not sure how to do... first it states: This error happens when you are running Windows Vista or later, and have put Nexus Mod Manager's install info folder in the Program Files folder for example, to C:\Games\ModManagerInfo\Install Info). it then goes on to say later The best thing to do in order to avoid other problems, and the generally recommended solution, is to move Nexus Mod Managers Install Info folder outside of the Program Files folder.
