gahnzz
While wandering around Winterhold (didn't take too long) I was thinking about a building there, and then realized that the rebuilding of Winterhold will probably be in a DLC somewhere... or at least an explanation of the cataclysm that claimed the town. So to prevent modding teams from spending oodles of hours working on something that will be overwritten by DLC, let's try and figure out where the likely DLC will be so that Beth can fills the holes and we don't duplicate work. NOTE: This is not about DLC that you WANT... but what DLC seems likely or has been heavily rumoured. I'll update the post as DLC announcements come out. The poll will be edited once announcements re: offical DLC are made.
LoganZezima2
Most likely Morrowind and Cyrodiil. I think there are also confirmed to be new shouts. I'm not sure how the ID naming works for shouts, but there may be some issues with overwriting there. I also find it highly likely that there will be some sort of "return of (insert ancient something here)" quests. Also, possibly DLC to fix the destroyed city in the beginning of the game (name slips my mind). Edited January 9, 2012 by LoganZezima2
scottmack
I'd put my money on the blades and whichever faction you sided with warring with the thalmor as a DLC
Lachdonin
I think the Thalmor are going to offer a long time counterpoint to the Empire. As such, i don't see any major conflict or the destruction of the Thalmor being a DLC. I also suspect that Winterhold is safe to mod (And i plan to do so) as the restoration of a city has never, to my knowlege, been explored in official DLC. Kavatch continued to burn for years, after all. As for what we will probably get, we've already been told by Howard (Unreliable as he may be) that they want to expand gameplay capabilities as a primary goal, and content as a secondary. As such, i would say expect Spell Making, reforging equipment, maybe Dwemer engineering etc.
LoganZezima2
Also look at the DLC from past games. In Oblivion there was some sort of DLC for each type of character. We may possibly see something like that in this game as well.
Sunnie
Bethesda did a really, and I mean REALLY, good job of eluding to a Thalmor invasion expansion/DLC.

I'd expect that any DLC is going to run about $30 and there is no way Beth could charge that premium price without a large chunk of content to go with any additional gameplay capabilities. If Oblivion had been released now, I'd bet dollars to donuts that rebuilding Kvatch would be on the list. I do think repopulating and restoring Helgen is also on the potential list but is just not big enough to be the ONLY thing for an expansion. While i agree in concept, i would also like ot emphasis the Primary and Secondary statement. A new island, say for instance Solsthiem, could be relativly easy to make. Then including spell crafting as the main focus, and Solsthiem as a bonus, would fulfil the 'goals' which Howard has mentioned. It would be a cheap way to do things, but considering how poor the quest archs are in Skyrim, its something i kinda expect... Its almost certian, however, that at least one DLC set with involve the Thalmor. As i said, i highly doubt you'll beat the bastards perminantly, but they will probably be involved. AllanOcelot
I cannot wait for Horse Armour, It just made Oblivion, THE game for me..... But seriously, I think they will add more of the same old, possibility of a talos god quest, similar to knights of the nine I think.
