Allephus
I think adding a Beholder in the game would be ridiculous...I mean...in a good way. I'd really like to fight one at least. It has an anti-magic beam which could be represented as a total-magic drain. An instant kill beam.Level drain, which could be represented as a huge skill and stat drain (permanent effect until cured by....idk a specific ingredient it drops that will allow you to make a potion of restoration or something? Just saying, it would be sick.
JanusForbeare
If with stick with the non-canon TES modder lore, then it would be a "Beholden" (according to 'The Underdark' and 'Midas Magic' mods for Oblivion). I got used to fighting them in Cyrodiil, so I can see downloading this mod if it were to be released.
Allephus
I never played Oblivion, but watching the videos now...they don't look very impressive. http://surbrook.devermore.net/adaptationscreatures/games/dnd/beholder.jpg I imagine it'd be a little hard to make a texture and a model like the ideal Beholder, since the model in the Beholden Hive Mother video doesn't look as spectacular. I imagine a lot more can be done, though, with the way Skyrim is. I don't know what effects it did, or how much damage, but I'd imagine it'd have to be something that you'd undertake at end game. From how it looked in the video, that's how it appeared.
JanusForbeare
Yeah, it Oblivion they were tough as nails, but more funny-looking than scary. I'm pretty sure they didn't have all the canon D&D eye beams, either.
JMMcNemo
There's several D&D monsters that I'd like to see in Skyrim... I've always had an affection for rust monsters, which could easily be made to degrade armor-- the heavier the armor, the faster the degradation.
