NeKllte
Skyrim is a beautiful game to look at. However, it lacks immersion. Here's why... once you do something, then that thing is done. No more threat to you. Especially if, like me, you are good shot with a bow. Too much of the world is dead and none of it really goes out of the way to cause you any grief. I suggest the making of a mod where something persists to be a genuine threat to you. Bandits that knock you unconscious and steal everything you have would be a great start. A few more of them too, roaming in groups that are actually dangerous enough to make you go another way if you can. Maybe some slaver camps as well. People who force you into service and you actually have to escape from. Some bandit raids the guards talk about. Roaming forsworn packs. Crazy cults doing all of the above. People are evil. Let's not make any mistake about it. Make some things that are truly terrifying. Real dragon cults for instance. Dragons aren't just animals roaming around roaring to notify you to kill them. Practically that is the problem with the whole game. There's absolutely nothing in it that attempts to bother you first at all. You have to go blundering around and provoke them. In effect, the only "bad guy" in the game is the player. Everyone else in the game are stuck up turds telling you to do their dirty work because you will. Change it up. Make the game make us paranoid. Roaming werewolf hordes would be another fair start, able to take over caves and start breeding before spreading and raiding more caves etc. Edited January 14, 2012 by NeKllte
