Why Can't My Followers Just Die? (editing autoheal rates, etc) - XB1

So I want ALL my followers to simply be able to die. Which for some reason seems easier said than done with my Skyrim.

The idea of deciding if I really wanna go back 30 min to keep x person alive after a hard battle (or just grab another follower to replace them) seems like a fun challenge to me. However, apparently something behind the scenes seems to dictate which followers auto-heal or not. And seemingly random at that.

Example: One playthrough Lydia auto healed, another she didn't. Uthgerd ALWAYS seems to auto heal no matter what settings I put in AFT.

Since AFT's settings don't seem to be working - even after putting AFT to the bottom of the load order - none of the mortality settings (particularly the autoheal one) seem to be sticking across the board with my 3 followers.

That being said - are there any mods or workarounds (i.e. cheat room? Multi Tool?) that can directly adjust an actor's heal rate? SetAv? ModAv? Multi-Tool doesn't seem to have access to those parameters yet, and I couldn't figure otu a spell to manipulate these settings in Cheat Room.

Or, if anyone knows a way I can force AFT's settings to "stick", that could work too.

Notes:

Even though AFT is at the bottom of my list now, Uthgerd ALWAYS autoheals no matter what settings I pick in AFT. Same for Jenassa still being "YOLO bihhh" when I try to force autoheal through AFT.

I didn't have an issue with this when I used UFO, however I think my modlist likes AFT better so I'm not about to switch or use both mods together either. .

***** Edit: took a minute to make this all a bit easier to read from when i first posted it

Edited both posts to be easier on the eyes. Thanks in advance, fellas.

EDIT: I fixed it by doing away with AFT and making my own "follower package" using a the mods listed in the Bethesda thread:.

UPDATE:

I ditched AFT (even after moving it up & down in my load order in a fresh new file) in favor of a "custom follower package" I made consisting of:

  • Increased Follower Limit,
  • Follower NPC Tweaks,
  • Share Your Meal,
  • NPC Clothes Changer / Maintainer and
  • My Home is Your Home.

It works beautifully. All of my followers auto heal, however they're all consistently mortal now (thanks to NPC tweak mod).
I miss AFT's backpack function or can summon them if they fall behind anymore (Immersive Citizens' follower locators takes care of that), but it works perfectly, super stable and is apparently lightweight because my FPS ramped up a bit.

I guess AFT it just didn't clash well with my mod list.

It's SUPER reliable and lightweight. <3ing it. Thanks fellas.
