loneRPGer25
I certainly know that many posters wouldn't approve, but I want to create a simple mod that changes the weather in all of Tamriel to be more pleasant in general. I'm basically looking to remove the chance of poor weather from most parts of the game. I've tried AWS and Natural Environments and a dozen other weather mods, but they simply don't fulfill my needs (despite being great mods). Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide me with this venture! I suppose I should start with what I think I need to do to accomplish my goal (PLEASE feel free to correct and/or fill in the blanks): 1. It seems as though the non-parent worldspaces (such as the cities) can have their weather chances changed through the Regions submenu of the World menu. It seems as though a FEW worldspaces (such as Pale Pass) could have their weather changed through the Climates submenu instead, thus bypassing the need to edit the region itself. 2. It looks as though the completely exterior portions of the game function as subregions of the Tamriel main region? This is where I have the most difficulty understanding how to change the weather. Do I need to assign a climate to the Tamriel region under the Climates submenu? Or do I instead need to change all of the subregions' weather types (as in step 1 above)? What baffles me here is that not all of the exterior subregions seem to have weather data listed in the same way that say... Bruma Worldspace does. Are the areas without weather data just inconsequential anyway? I wouldn't be concerned with this too much, but I'd hate to be wandering through the wilderness and run from clear weather right into a thunderstorm just because I missed changing the weather for one of the subregions. Please excuse me if these questions seem completely dense, but I haven't created any major mods since Morrowind. Again, I greatly appreciate any help or insight that anyone can provide. loneRPGer25
Things learned thus far: 1. Deleting the offending weather types from the weather menu does not seem to work. This is fine really since I don't necessarily want to eliminate any weather type completely. 2. Changing the non-parent worldspaces such as "Bruma World" through the regions menu definitely seems to be working. 3. Still can't figure out for sure how to change the weather probabilities in all of the Tamriel exterior cells (which are divided into subregions). Abramul
You might also try changing unpleasant weather to be identical to whatever your preferred type is. This should allow you to avoid changing regions or climates.
