New to DA:I. Need advice

Hi!

I tried Dragon Age: Inquisition on PS4 over a year ago but couldn't really get into it. Today I saw a video that showcased some mods and now I really want to play. Here's the video and links to the mods I would like to install:

Alternative options for the no-restrictions-mods:
Armor - No Class Restrictions Remade: http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/842/?

Regarding installation, both DAI Mod Loader and Mod Manager is mentioned. Are they talking wbout the same program? I would rather install mods using one method/program. I have modded Skyrim and Fallout 4 a lot with Nexus Mod Manager but I have no experience with non-Steam games and other mod managers, so I was hoping to get some advise here.

Also, it seems as if some of the mods aren't up to date and doesn't work on the latest versions, according to comments. If someone have tried these mods lately I would very much like to know which one of the mods works best. And if they only work with or without DLC.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Xero

The tool you need is DAI Tools Suite, which includes the Mod Maker, used to create mods, and the Mod Manager, used to install mods.

The manager is used to create a "Patch_ModManagerMerge" Folder inside the "..\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update" folder.
Here's a picture showing my setup paths

Where in my setup "G:\Mod Archives\DAIMM\DAIMod", contains the *.daimod packages made with the Mod Maker tool.
These can be manually arranged in any order, in the mod manager, for each merge, but default is 0 to 9, then A to Z, which determines the Merging, and Override order.

A better way is to use numbered folders to control the Merge order. This has the advantage of fixing the order set, outside of the manager, and it's applied to each merge, not just the current one, as changes in the manager are not preserved.
You can name the folders anything, and just number them to fix the merge order.
Heres, my current mods list, higher numbers override lower if they change the same file, in the game.

This gives you more control. and allows you to name the folders, so you know what the mod is.
Remerging is rather easy, so not an issue, and where mods talk of "clean patching", ignore it, that mod was made when the game patch was merged with the mods, they are now separated, and clean patching isn't needed anymore.
you can repair the game, without affecting mods, using Origin.

As for which mods, it's often more what works together, and no hard rules apply. When alternates exist, usually the higher the Nexus ID (Number in links you posted), the newer it is, but that only applies to the initial upload, not updates.

Read description, and check recent posts, the alternates you posted are newer, and most likely to work, often unless made close together, new versions are created to replace unsupported older omes, but exceptions exist.

Worse case is the merge is remade, and game reinstalled, which is called breaking the game, but it's not really broken, if reinstallation fixes it.

So don't be too worriied, breaking your game is a rite of passage, when modding, and part of the process to get it modded your way
