Fighting Monks

Ok, so first of all, my skill in modding only reaches so far as installing the stuff you folk create. But I do have a few ideas that shouldn't be hard to produce :)

1: Kung Fu

If you can make a dagger invisible, and remove the motion of grabbing it from your belt, it could potentially become some fancy martial-arts armswings. Creating a fast-moving fist fighter who uses wide moves with his arms, the old-fashioned and ohsowrong karatechop.

2: Bo Staff

If you were to use a staff model for a 2-hander (I would go for a mace, since a mace is really just a staff with a weighted end) it would make for a potential staff-fighter that isn't based on magic. If you would be able to increase the speed for this weapon and lower the damage it does, you'd even more resemble a stick-fighter.

And if then you would be able to use the manner currently equipped staves are used in the game for a passive (non-swinging) stance, you'd make a very relaxed looking master of bashingyournutswithahugestick-do. (Although I'm quite sure the CK will be required to get that stance stuff done, I just figured I'd throw it out there.)

You could also use a 1-hander, to allow use of spells in one hand and poking in the other.

A more up-close mage, who whacks your face to the back of your head and then scorches your hair off. The only downside to this is that a 1h isn't put on your back when you're not using it, like a 2h would. And you'd probably need CK or even different tools to keep it off your hip.

3: Shields

I know this has nothing to do with a semi-shaolin monk, but I (and I'm sure many others) -hate- the way shields remain in hand when passive. Especially the fact that you run so normally even though you're holding a large sheat of metal in your hand (which surely should weigh quite a lot more than a feather).

Wouldn't it be possible to just hang that thing on my back? I mean, my Tauren figured out how to move his hand behind his back and let his equipment dangle there (he doesn't even need straps to keep it there. It's pure magic!). I'm pretty sure the allmighty dragonborn should be able to.

Anyway, 1 and 2 would probably be a good first step into making a fighting monk-like class. Bashing with your fists, still benefitting from the dagger perks. Or fighting with a bo staff, leeching from the 2-handed skills.

So yeah, these are just some of my ideas.

Especially the invisible dagger and at least the staff model for other weapontypes ideas should be easy to create. The only trouble I forsee is a staff hanging from your belt when you're idling around and potential clipping problems (Poking your eye out). But I'm sure you clever mod-magicians can figure something out ^^'

yeah been requested a few times I don't think anyone will work on it and if they do we'll just have to keep an out in the mods section for it...
