Skyrim Immersion breaking problem - ini file - Help? If possible?

Hey.. not sure if this is the right place to post this but its under Skyrim so yeah..

I've been tweaking the ini file of Skyrim and ive encountered a problem which doesnt affect gameplay but rather just immersion, big problem in that regard! Anyway compare the images below, pretty obvious...

Just wondering, if anyone knows what in the ini file possibly could have caused it? I know it might be a big ask since it is specific i reckon...

AND before you ask.. yes i know how to fix it... Just delete the ini file... but i dont want to do that because i dont want to lose my tweaks...

[2] WITH the problem... (Edited Ini File)

p.s. please disregard the quality of the graphics :P ...

Could be a number of things.

Just do what I do. Backup your ini file, ask the game to recreate a brand new one and then copy your settings from one to the other (one by one).

Just make sure you only change the settings you really need, and leave the rest alone.

In my experience, missing water textures is somehow related to shadow resolution. Dropping the shadows from 4096 to 2048 solved it for me.

OR

Go back through the backups of the .ini files you took before each tweak until you find the one that doesn't have this problem. Can't be too old as you'd soon notice this sort of problem.

You did backup your ini files each time before tweaking them, didn't you?

Hmm not always :D at first I resetted the clouds section because that was the last time i remembered tweaking... but now i remember! Surprisingly it was

bUseWaterReflections=1

Setting this to 0 causes it... I never knew it would! Took me a while to locate this little error haha.. I thought i turned off reflections...

Also setting:

iWaterReflectHeight=0

iWaterReflectWidth=0

To 0 causes the game to exit/crash when you're outside.... I was just experimenting how i can lower the reflection of water to make it more realistic... too shiny in my opinion :D

Appreciate the responses! I'll be sure to keep copies of ini files from now on!
