Custom Content in OTFT

Quite an unclear title, so i'll explain :

Making a mod (for myself) to have a specific outfit and equipment for a specific NPC by overridding an actual OTFT.

Works real fine.

except for a specific case.

Got every piece of item to be worn by the NPC when using ONLY original material. But i can't get the NPC to wear items added (not replaced) by another mod.

To be more specific :

The purpose of the mod is to have an npc actually wear pieces of equipment (dress, shoes, ring, circlet and necklace) as a default outfit.

So i override a specific OTFT (in that case Elisif's) using FOMM and chose "JarlClothesElisif" as DOFT for my NPC (the wife, actually^^)

No issue when picking items from the original game ; items are set as default and "worn" by the character as intended.

But I can't get it to acquire an item, if said item is added by another mod in that case a necklace from tytanis mod ; thought tytanis's loads first amongsts my mods.

So, is there anyway to reference items added by other mods ?

And btw, is there a way (without the CK) to add a new OTFT instead of overridding an existing one (for of course Elisif currently dresses like my character's wife... not that i really mind)

Not completely sure if the ID from that "other mod" gets changed or something, but you might as well just include the items from that mod to your own.

If it's for personal use then the author's permission and all that "legal" crap is irrelevant. That's pretty much what I do, I have 2 esp files compiled from ~20 mods.

Yup i kinda guess that's an ID related problem.

I'm fairly new to modding TES (less than 24h). And i lack lots of intel atm, so i don't really know what referece to use...

got 3 different ID for that specific item : formID inside the mod, ingame ID and in game "BAD editor ID" ... and actually none of them works.

anyway, i gave your lead a try... and i got something... merged the necklace from tytanis's into my mod and used it's FormID in the OTFT... and...

the "item" displays in the showinventory... (with a fourth different ID) but it actually doesn't show on screen...

there's still something I miss...

btw thx aerionop for your quick and inspired reply ^^

My bad, it only took a few clicks to add a second master to my mod. and Voilà !

(and it uses the original FormID as a reference in the OTFT)

Now i gotta try and find how to make all this non replacive. (not that i hate seeing Elisif with my wife's clothes on)
