Rancen
I love this game, but sometimes it looks damn retarded. Look at this "mind-boggling" scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnfQjLvC4Kc
Lachdonin
Yeah... There are some situations in the game where i look around and think "really? they didn't think that one through", The Foresworn attack when you first enter Markarth is another good example. Every time i do it theres a guard by the gate who stands there, watching this guy draw a dagger and creep up behind a woman. Who has to step in? I do. Clearly law enforcement in Skyrim is lacking. You know, unless you steal a cheese wheel.

My first character read that book not long before journeying there for the first time, and as a result he didn't intervene when the woman was killed. As it says in the book's last paragraph: "Last piece of advice, don't cause trouble in Markarth. Don't start fights. Don't stop fights. Don't stick your head anywhere without someone from the city paying you for it, because believe me, no one in Markarth wants you there. Make your gold, drink your mead, see what's there to see, and move on. Nothing changes in the City of Stone, and that's just fine."

True, i suppose in context we know the Guards are bribed by the Silverbloods, and Margret was a target for one of the Silverblood's proxy-Foresworn assassins. Sanbru
Yeah, the AI isn't the smartest thing out there. Remember when I was sneaking around in a Foresworn camp, there were three of them just standing in a circle talking. Shot one in the head with an arrow, killing him. Did the other two look around for where the arrow that killed their companion came from? No, they just stood there talking some more.
JanusForbeare
There's definitely still some major flaws to be overcome in the AI, especially in regards to stealth and height. That being said, there have been some noticeable improvements since Oblivion. For the first time, enemies actively work to flank you (wolf packs are great at this). Also, enemies have become more adept at avoiding arrows, provided they see them coming. They'll duck behind cover or dodge to the side at the last moment, both of which make ranged combat more challenging and enjoyable.

Reflexes like a chinese monk, one could say. Especially when there's a big fat "hidden" over the player's head. And when there's an arrow sticking in their head "it must have been the wind". No matter how much you sugarcoat it, the AI is still abysmal. Even compared to Bethesdas Fallout 3.
creeposaurus
I think despite the bugginess, its pretty fascinating. I dropped a diamond, sapphire in the middle of Riften. Long story short, everyone went insane and Mjoll and my companion were going at it. They were on opposite sides of the marketplace (or town square...dunno) shooting arrows at each other, and ducking behind stalls and the walls behind them. It was cool to watch xD

Ah yes, their famous matrix slide to the right, avoiding an incoming arrow... Gotta love it :psyduck:
