Some NPCs stuck in infinite weapon sheathing

I've tried looking for some fixes, there are a few threads - not many, and so far the only thing I've found out that it might have something to do with Dual Sheath Redux. Some NPCs, specifically some bandits with a 1h weapon will try to sheath their weapon whenever they aggro/detect me. This happened out of nowhere now that I'm level 40+ with a stable game - about 100 mods and not a single crash or anything. Almost a hundred hours on this save file with Dual Sheath Redux installed from the start... but now I get this bug completely out of nowhere. Only maybe 10 or 20% of bandits I encounter seem to have this bug and I have no idea what's causing this, I already re-installed some skeleton and animation mods, ran FNIS and completely re-installed Dual Sheath Redux but nothing seems to work.

 

Any ideas?
