Voiced companion mods

I'm sure that I'm not the only person out there hard at work scripting a new voiced companion in anticipation of the CK's release. As I've essentially finished writing my core dialogue and am now preparing to begin my initial recording sessions, I felt that the time was right to put some feelers out and see if any modders working on similar projects would like to script some "party-dynamics" between our characters (ie. conversations, arguments, fistfights, etc. that occur when two or more companions are following the player at the same time, which many players have already modded their games to allow).

I am only looking for modders who are serious about seeing their projects through to completion and already have character backgrounds/core scripts largely developed. If this is you, then please PM me with a brief description of your mod in development. With any luck, we'll be able to bring Skyrim's companion system into the 21st century.

my initial recording sessions........This.......well, you are not an amateur modder.

Btw, I'm a big fan of the follower/companion feature in Skyrim and other RPG games. I do like more active and noisy follower. I like to see my follower (and followers) to dancing while holding a beer in tavern.

For me, the best of all follower feature is Baldur's Gate 2, especially the romance extended mod. Just reading the ingame text about bathing together, naked in the river, clean up each other body, splashing each other, having sex in the water and closed by laying down on river side naked under the sunlight........I can't wait to see the same thing happened in Skyrim. haha........

Hmm not the answer you'll be looking for from me here Janus, but any chance of a quick description of how the voice files will work? I've been interested in doing some voice mods and I'm not sure about how to deal with ".fuz" files or how to create the lip files which are embedded in them.

As far as I know, no one has been able to get custom .fuz files to fully work in game, and we likely won't be able to until the CK is released. The main reason is that it seems to be a proprietary file format specific to the CK that combines the lip sync data and audio data into a single file. Despite attempts to create tools to package .xwm and .lip files into .fuz format, as of yet no one has managed to get the actors' lip movements to match the text provided. I assume that once we get the CK the entire procedure will streamlined and pretty much idiot-proof.
