GiovannaPaciullo
Hey guys, I'm new here and I was hoping someone would give me a light about this "bug" I have. My Skyrim plays fine everywhere both interiors and exteriors with 40-60 FPS BUT sometimes, almost like random, when I enter a interior cell (e.g. Ragged Flagon, Dawnstar Sanctuary etc) my FPS simply will drop to 25 FPS when I'm looking at certain specific locations. The only "fix" is restarting Skyrim, if I restart the game the lag will go away, even if I load a save exacly where I was getting the FPS drop. I am sure it is not an overheating problem because sometimes it happens after only one minute of play, and other times it doesnt happen after hours of intense playing and I don't have to restart my PC to "fix" it. I have some mods installed (obviously lol) and I was thinking it was a mod "overload" problem, but after disabling every texture mod the problem won't go away. I already tried a fresh install of Skyrim a fresh install of all mods but it persists, so I'm guessing it is a conflict with mods? Can someone help me please? If you don't have any idea about it lets talk and see if we can think about something. Here's my mod list, I use LOOT to properly assign the load order. snelss0
LOOT doesn't sort everything. Please tell me that the listed above is not the order your mods are in. If so, that's a problem. Inside LOOT, there is a menu with 3 dots. Click that and click copy load order, then paste it here. Also, if you are using windows 10, make sure you have disabled your XBOX app's Xbox DVR option in your start menu. It can cause FPS drop. Also, it is possible that some of your hardware could be failing, not necessarily overheating. Is your computer older?
GiovannaPaciullo
Hey thanks for replying! No this is is only my mod list. I chose to list this over my load order cuz I dont believe it is the problem since I always sort with LOOT and I read everything on the mods page about the installation, and with my mod list you guys could see my texture mods.My setup is quite new, with less than 2 years of use, not overclocked or with any changes at all. I dont have any problems with other games like Witcher 3, Dragon age Inquisition, Far Cry Primal and other high demaning games, everything is maxed out and I don't get any problems.I was browsing and I found something kinda similar, about the interior fog, which may cause a huge fps drop, and since I'm using Climates of Tamriel something might have been conflicting (?) My load order is this one: 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm 6 6 Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp 7 7 ClimatesOfTamriel.esm 8 8 ApachiiHair.esm 9 9 TTR_Skill_Overhaul.esm10 a RSkyrimChildren.esm11 b Cutting Room Floor.esp12 c SMIM-SE-Merged-All.esp13 d IcePenguinWorldMap.esp14 e Book Covers Skyrim.esp15 f Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul - Skyrim.esp16 10 Ars Metallica.esp17 11 Beards.esp18 12 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Alchemy.esp19 13 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Alteration.esp20 14 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Archery.esp21 15 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Block.esp22 16 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Conjuration.esp23 17 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Destruction.esp24 18 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Enchanting.esp25 19 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Illusion.esp26 1a TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Lockpicking.esp27 1b TTR_Skill_Overhaul_OneHanded.esp28 1c TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Pickpocket.esp29 1d TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Restoration.esp30 1e TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Sneak.esp31 1f TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Speech.esp32 20 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_TwoHanded.esp33 21 UnreadBooksGlow.esp34 22 Visible Favorited Gear.esp35 23 DiverseDragonsCollectionSE.esp36 24 DSHg - Circlets.esp37 25 DSHg - DragonPriest Masks.esp38 26 DSHg - Hats.esp39 27 DSHg - Helmets.esp40 28 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_Smithing.esp41 29 TTR_Skill_Overhaul_HeavyArmor.esp42 2a TTR_Skill_Overhaul_LightArmor.esp43 2b DSHg - Hoods.esp44 2c DSHg - UpdateDB.esp45 2d DSHg - UpdateDG.esp46 2e Footprints.esp47 2f KS_Hairdo's_Lite.esp48 30 LeftHandRings.esp49 31 LeftHandRings_1stPersonView.esp50 32 skyBirds_SSE.esp51 33 Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp52 34 Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin SSE Version.esp53 35 Map Markers Complete.esp54 36 dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp55 37 FNIS.esp56 38 InigoPerkPointGiver.esp57 39 RichMerchantsSkyrim_x5.esp58 3a XPMSSE.esp59 3b RSChildren - Complete.esp60 3c RSChildren_PatchUSSEP.esp61 3d Runandwalkpaces.esp62 3e RUSTIC SOULGEMS - Unsorted.esp63 3f True Eyes SE.esp64 40 TrueBrows.esp65 41 Water Special Edition.esp66 42 SkyHUD.esp67 43 Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp68 44 more idle markers.esp69 45 RealisticWaterTwo.esp edit:Typo! snelss0
1. Footprints could be a potential culprit. You are overhauling lots of aspects of your skyrim, and that means each NPC has changes most likely, then coupled with this mod and cutting room floor, can cause some huge scripts.2. I would move your USLEEP right after dragonborn.esm instead of after your lanterns mod.3. I would also suggest moving your FNIS, animations, and Skeleton mod to the very bottom of your load order and then move all UI or HUD related mods up high in your load order, then sort with LOOT.4. Also, make sure you've made the proper .ini edits that your grass mods and whatever enb you may or may not be using requires you to make.
Project579
Remember that when you are inside, the game still keeps the last outside cell you where loaded in memory that could be causing your lag problems as well. And if that is your load order well... it's a bit of a disaster.

I don't think that footprints has a influence because I already tried disabling it before and the problem persisted, kinda sad cuz I would get rid of it in a heartbeat2. I followed the Lanters of Skyrim's mod autor, he specifically said to put his mod before USLEEP, and sorting with LOOT makes the same load order.3. I guess I will try these changes!4. I did, I made every necessary change that was asked, thats the most frustrating thing. Remember that when you are inside, the game still keeps the last outside cell you where loaded in memory that could be causing your lag problems as well. And if that is your load order well... it's a bit of a disaster. Well that I didn't knew about, but dropping 35-40 FPS while looking at walls indoors while the last loaded exterior cell was a desert location doesnt make any sense to me, not to mention my FPS goes back to normal if I simply turn the characters head 1 degree. I dont think my load order a disaster when I followed every autors notes and on top of that let LOOT sort it, maybe having a lot of new mods makes it that bad? snelss0
Just because you disable a mod, doesn't mean its scripts have stopped running. Skyrim bakes scripts into your saved game. To properly test, start a new game once disabled.Generally the load order I use is:SkyrimUpdateDawnguardHearthfiresDragonborn(In your case Lanterns)USLEEP[other .esms][utility mods] (Skse, UI, or papyrus scripts, generally don't have .esps)[All other .esps][Texture mods] (anything that changes the appearance of skyrim][body mods] (anything that changes appearances of bodies]FNIS[Animations]XPMSE[any mod LOOT sorts after]RS Patch (if using real shelter- loot doesn't sort)

snelss0
Make sure your testing is on a new game, just to make sure no old scripts are messing with your skyrim.
