Glitch with regenerating plants?

Hi, I'm having this weird issue and wondering if it's a known glitch. I pick plants in the Riverwood/Whiterun area; I leave the area for two weeks; I come back to the area and the plants have all regenerated... so far so good.

But then I sleep one night in that same area, and the next morning all the plants that had regenerated, are no longer regenerated. Chests, barrels and crates are all okay and have remained regenerated, it's only the plants that revert back to a harvested state. I've retested this twice now and it's happened both times. Any insights would be appreciated, thanks.

Just finished doing a bit of area-specific testing and there is definitely something glitchy going on.

I ride from Dragon Bridge back to Whiterun/Riverwood after having vacated the area for two weeks. The plants in Whiterun/Riverwood have all regenerated as they should. I sleep the night in Riverwood. In the morning, I check to find the plants in the Riverwood area are still all regenerated, but the plants in the Whiterun area have all reverted back to a harvested state.

F for frustrating.

Still more glitching to report: Once I quit the game, fire it up again and then reload my save, ALL previously-picked plants have reverted back to a harvested state... even the regenerated plants I was standing right beside when I saved and then exited the game.

In the words of Lucan Valerius the Riverwood trader, "What a mess."

I really don't understand what the problem is here.... From what I've read, I've gathered a few facts to point out (to help convey my point):

1. You harvest plants in Riverwood, leave riverwood for a few weeks, come back and plants REGEN.

2. You come back to harvest plants, sleep/wait for 24 hours... and plants are still harvested... right... plants don't grow overnight.

3. You "bug test" by sleeping in the area and the plants are still there... *facepalm*

Once again, I don't quite understand what the problem is here? Are you expecting the plants to reappear instantly or something? Also, cells don't refresh themselves unless you zone out of them and go back in. It's always been like that, no bugs to report there. You could sleep for 6 weeks in an area but if you haven't zoned, nothing will refresh (to my knowledge).

Could you elaborate on exactly what the problem is? I don't understand.

I think he means:

1) He waits two weeks for respawn, which they do.

2) He sleeps without harvesting anything.

3) Plants that have just regenerated have now disappeared.

Is that correct ?

By the way, i have experienced node spawning issues myself. One instance of this was loading a save from an exterior cell and heading into a Mine that was picked clean approximately 5 in-game months ago. On first load some of the Ore deposits had respawned, i died and reloaded and entered the mine again to find there was no respawned ore deposits. Could be just lack of sleep here, but i think something fishy is going on.

Heh, sorry for any confusion. There are at least two different glitches happening:

1. I return to the Whiterun/Riverwood area after two weeks. The plants I picked two weeks previously have regenerated, which is correct and fine. However, if I travel to Riverwood, sleep the night and then return to Whiterun, the plants in Whiterun are now all harvested. The plants in Riverwood where I slept are still all regenerated, so it has to do with the Whiterun cell resetting back to "harvested" during the time I spent the night and slept in Riverwood.

2. Same scenario, I return to Whiterun/Riverwood after two weeks, etc. I save the game and exit Skyrim. I fire up Skyrim again, load my save file, and presto: all the plants I picked two weeks previously and that were reading as regenerated, are now all harvested. This issue has to do with a glitch in the save file apparently.

LOL, c'mon I'm stupid I know but I'm not an idiot. I've been playing Elder Scrolls for many years. I know about having to leave an area for a length of time in order for things to regenerate. ;)
