Mehrunes Razor - request modifications

Okay, so when the Daedric Banishing on strike activates, I get a message saying something like "through this weapon this soul now belongs to Mehrunes Dagon!" and then it keeps count of the souls whenever the insta-kill activates again.

 

I find this annoying, because it seems to break the lore.

 

"The Dark Brotherhood has coveted this ebony dagger for generations. This mythical artifact is capable of slaying any creature instantly. History does not record any bearers of Mehrune's Razor. However, the Dark Brotherhood was once decimated by a vicious internal power struggle. It is suspected that the Razor was involved." --Tamrielic Lore

 

The Dark Brotherhood sends souls to Sithis, not to Dagon. I prefer to play the DB faction, so it gets on my nerves that the coveted dagger is "blasphemous" to Sithis/the Darkbrotherhood.

 

So, my request is, could somebody savvy with the CS remove those "You sent this soul to Dagon" type messages? Thank you!

 

Also, would it be possible to make the dagger look like it was made of ebony? You know, maybe replace the mesh and texture with that of the admittedly fugly ebony dagger? I mean, the current model looks pretty wicked (though the texture is kind of hum-drum boring), but I'm a bit of a stickler for lore and the ebony dagger should be ebony. And DB-lore friendly, too.

Sithis is essentially nothingness. It is not so much a Diety as it is a concept. They worship the nothingness, which is to say that they do not care for either the Aedra, or the Daedra. A soul sent to Sithis is one which sent into the void of nothingness. However since there doesn't seem to be much mentioned about an afterlife, this act of sending someone to Sithis is really an empty act... Like telling someone to go to hell.

 

Mehrunes Razor is an artifact which was created using the blood of Mehrunes Daigon, like all Daedric aritfacts were made using the blood of Daedra they are related to. Mehrunes claims the soul because you are killing the person with a weapon which is linked to him. Just as Umbra is linked to Clavicus Vile. This is probably the price one pays for using a weapon which can kill instantly. Afterall, a Daedra wouldn't just make a weapon like that if they were not getting something back in return.

 

At any rate, if you wanted to remove the message, you would have to adjust the scripts within that mod yourself (since it's an official mod). It's a simple edit, find the script, and remove the message.

 

As for the weapon texture, it's probably make more sense for it to be Daedric, or to have some runes or something cool on the blade than it would be for it to be ebony. In either case, it would probably require altering of how the weapon is mapped, in which case, good luck.
