muttiniraq
Imagine, you get married and have children. Then you decide on their education... MagicThieves GuildAssassiansImperial Guard Ect... Then when they are of age and after some seasoning they can then report to be companions. The longer you allow them to train the higher the level. Stipulate what level and a courier will inform you when they have reached that level. Could be fun.

RitualBlack
Love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage. Married with Children was a really funny show  . I simply couldn't pass up the opportunity.

muttiniraq
you know what i thought when i read the title...Oh my god, dont tell me (s)he wants to be married to children  That did not even cross my mind lol. No, I just want the ability to raise children, take a hand in their education, and then take them adventuring as essential so they do not die. (That would be a bit depressing.) One of the aspects of these games that I truely enjoy revolves around character interaction. I found that playing oblivion while deployed to Afghanistan, nice forests, relaxing music, no stress, helped me immensely after a long day of going through bloody clothing. I know that it sounds weird, but I think that video games that aren't solely single person shooters help prevent ptsd. In Iraq I took up listening to classical music, in Afghanistan I took oblivion, Dragon Age, and a few others. So, can we do this one? There are children in the game, they train where you send them. You can travel to wherever you send them to check on them, maybe pay for children size armor, teenage armor, ect. Various fee's and costs to add to the feeling that you are helping. Also, it would be nice to be able to help the orphanage in some fashion. Yeah I killed the horrible old woman, but what now?
Allephus
I see this being a part of a bigger picture. I like the idea...but, like with the Fable series, I never saw why I would ever WANT to do such a thing. Especially with as annoying as the kids are in Skyrim. Maybe I'm just biased towards the thought of having kids period...but then again, it could then have a turn out just like the show. Ultimately, the marriage needs an overhaul, even if that too is something I hold in disdain...(yeah, I'm bitter, what?) So when I mention "bigger picture", what I really mean is...I see it as being part of a mod that allows you to become something. For instance...Emperor of Tamriel, or Jarl of....(city name/or one that you make). High King, even. At which point, you charge your son/daughter with some duty...The growth of the child would be a little hard. Well, maybe not for me, since my previous game had over 500 days, but then again, I played the crap out of it and ended it at 300hrs 15mins. So...I'm really wanting to see the expansion hehehe......All in all, I like this idea, since I never thought of it as the way you put it. But unless he/she proved useful to some greater degree, I would probably not bother. This is ultimately an idea for the CK since any one of us can probably think of a million and one things that would need to happen just to make it work. Again, great idea, but I probably wouldn't hop on the proverbial sense of parenthood either. Heh.
Svard
Thinking about the graphical aspect of things, there's a lot to consider. 1. Race2. Age (you may need a model for each year from ages 1-5, after that, probably every 2-3 years up to adulthood)3. Look (hair, skin tone, etc)4. Clothing5. Whatever else It would probably be a lot easier if it were just adoption. That way you'd only have to worry about looks and complexion changes from, I would say the kids are age 11 or 12, to adulthood. True, you could probably just scale the kids down to size for younger ages, but you'd still have to make several baby and toddler models if you really wanted it to be realistic. Either way, I'd just go with an adoption system with a growth system to avoid major headaches with people throwing in too many suggestions for a whole sex-pregnancy-baby-toddler-little kid-blah blah blah system. This. I mean, there's already an orphanage full of children literally begging to be adopted.

Either way, a definite plus.
