Euclid
Hi all, I'm pretty sure to have uncooked all there is but still cannot find and DBs for quests and/or dialogues. What do I miss? Any hint appreciated. Cheers Euclid
djkovrik
Uncooking gives you only textures and models so you must use mod editor if you wanna explore all game resource files. As for dialogue texts, you can unpack w3strings files with w3strings encoder
Euclid
Thank DJ_Kovrik for the swift response. I've no problems with the strings encoder but struggling with the W3Editor. Seems he doesn't like any of the files I'm trying to load with it. Not much info on how to use it. Cheers Euclid
djkovrik
What files are you trying to edit? :)
Euclid
Well, I'm after the quest files/dialogue file aiming to modify some of them and/or create new quests and dialogue options. But I have no idea where those are hidden so I've tried to open various bundle files hoping W3Edit extract more than ModKitchen did. However, W3Edit doesn't like those files types, it seems it doesn't like any file (yes, I've tried several others like cache, w3speech, w3 strings just to see which type W3Edit actually wants). djkovrik
I've tried to open various bundle filesYou have completely misunderstood how it works  Quick guide:- open W3Edit- create new mod project (File - New mod)- press "Add file" button and you will see a file explorer window wich allows you to browse through all game resources from all bundle files (including DLCs)- you can edit most types of files directly in W3Edit (or in notepad if you wanna change xmls)- when you done, save your changes and press "Pack and Install mod"
Euclid
Ohh, right, now I can see loads of files which have not been uncooked. Still lots of questions but enough info for now to play around with it. Thanks a lot ! Cheers Euclid
