wolfe171
No seriously though, I have an issue with my lycanthropic status, if you will. So I did the purity quest, throwing the witch head into the fire and fighting my wolf spirit, right? Well I kill it, and nothing seemingly happens. I check and see that my werewolf powers are gone, so I figure I'm all good, right? Well, I still can't become rested (even though it doesn't say that I can't anymore), which leads me to think I'm still a werewolf. Tried getting the ring of hircine and seeing if that did anything, and it doesn't have the power show up, so I'm guessing I'm cured. So, how do I fix this thing to where my character reverts back to being a normal human being, instead of now being a normal human being with a serious case of insomnia? Or can I at least get my werewolfy powers back without using console commands? Still on my first playthrough, so I'm avoiding console commands as much as possible. They're reserved for Skyrim, round 2 :P Seriously, any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, does anyone know if using console commands causes steam to refuse to track gameplay hours in skyrim like it did in fo:nv?
wolfe171
Oh and also, I just noticed that this posted inside the "Skyrim mod requests" section, and I have no idea how it got there. My bad, not trying to be crazy or anything :\
Kalimni
Try getting vampirism. If You get it, you're not a lycan. If you cant your seriously bugged. You might have to find a save before you threw the head in the fire and try again. Also, if your partialy bugged, there is a chance that you will revert to normal after being cured of vampirism. JanusForbeare
Try getting vampirism. If You get it, you're not a lycan. This reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Mr. Burns finds out... ...that he has every disease on Earth, and that they're all balancing each other out to keep him alive. And no, using console commands does not seem to affect your gameplay counter on Steam. Edited January 13, 2012 by JanusForbeare
wolfe171
Oho, hadn't thought of the vampirism thing. Didn't know about curing vampirism balancing everything out, but I hadn't thought to try and get it either. Can't say I've noticed catching anything since I half-cured myself, but I guess I hadn't actively tried... well, off to my local blood-sucking coven :P I guess I'll let y'all know how it goes? wolfe171
Well, I tried the vampirism thing. I contracted the disease, went all twilight on skyrim, and cured myself as quickly as I could, and still no rest bonus. Does it stop after a certain level or something? My character IS level 76, pretty close to topping out. Wouldn't suprise me if they capped the resting bonus after a certain point, just to make hitting those higher levels seem more gratifying or something :\
