number23scorpio
Hey guys, earlier I made a post about my gaming crashing and black screen on startup. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5243660-fallout-4-failure-on-startup/ I partially fixed this. I set my fallout4prefs.ini like this iMaxAnisotropy=1 iPresentInterval=0 bTopMostWindow=0 bMaximizeWindow=1 bBorderless=1 bFull Screen=0 iSize H=720 iSize W=1280 So I could play the game on 1280x720 resolution. The thing is, it forced me to play on windowed mode! My desktop resolution is 1920x1080, so the game feels kind of boxed in. I want to stretch the game resolution to fit my screen. But whenever I set bTopMostWindow= and bMaximizeWindow= to 1, the black screen bug returns. What should I do? Did I screw up somewhere, or was it the incorrect setting? Please help. Every insight is helpful.
snapper69
What happens if you change the bFull Screen setting from =0 to -1?
number23scorpio
What happens if you change the bFull Screen setting from =0 to -1? Will try. But I read online that it is impossible. The range of value is between 0 and 1.
Stargazer09
Have you tried Bilago's Fallout 4 config tool? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102/?When I started playing Fallout 4 my monitor was ancient and 1280 x 1024 resolution. The game didn't have that resolution and I used the tool to get the game to display correctly. Edit: it's not a mod; despite it being on Nexus, and can be downloaded with NMM, it's a standalone program and run separately from the game.
