chanchan05
Personally I want to see one of the ff: 1.) Empire wins: You start building an Army to duke it out with the Thalmor forts in the empire (mainly the ones in Skyrim I guess, unless they add a patch to extend the map in Cyrodiil to contain more than the Tower). 2.) Stormcloak wins: You raise up an army of Nords and whatever else is in Skyrim who will help and eradicate the Thalmor/imperia; embassies and strongholds, in both Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Lessabos
Probably in future elder scroll Thalmor would purge everybody : imperial/skyrim so that it doesnt matter who you sided during civil war
eltucu
lol, TES VI, at the start "The Thalmor succeded, both Skyrim and Cyrodiil lay in ashes and the world is no more... The end" (it would be taking dumbing down gameplay system to the extreme though :P ) Maybe the peace treaty is cannon and for some reason they rally against the Thalmor togheter like a big family of... weirdness. Well, the future of TES is rather a Cold War between the equally powerful Aldmeri Dominion and Mede Empire, dissolution of the Empire and independence of many new nations and powers, or finally replacement of the Empire with the Aldmeri Dominion. Each of these options are equally viable. Personally, I suspect the second - since the Dominion doesn't seem to be interested in territorial expansion much, but in the destruction of the Imperial hegemony. I dissagree with this, as the Thalmor in Skyrim make it pretty clear that one of their goals is the complete subjugation of all non-Mer. That would require contenental dominance. And that's if you don't beleive their trying to destroy the world.

On a more serious note, how is Imperial dominance any better then elven? Edited January 14, 2012 by TimF
Feanoro
Well basically when The Empire doesn't like you, they just cut off your head. When the Thalmor don't like you, they take you apart for weeks in one of their fancy prisons, make you confess to...well, whatever the crime du jour is, then MAYBE they'll get bored and kill you. Also the Empire may run an oppressive regime and hunt down any detractors but everyone else is at least allowed to live. With the Thalmor I get the sense that any non-Altmer person is treated as an inferior being more or less. The Dunmer in the Thalmor embassy was treated like a slave. At least he was mer in origin....humans would probably be considered on an even lower rung... Also I don't know about the Dunmer of Morrowind (which seems to be a pretty desolate place right now), the Khajiit, Bretons or Imperials, but I get the sense that the Nords, Redguard and Argonians would rather be exterminated than live as slaves under the Thalmor. Also, you gotta love the pure arrogance in these Altmer. To quote Ondolemar: "The Thalmor intend to prove the superiority of mer over man...one century at a time". There are plenty of people who aren't too fond of the Empire running free through Skyrim, even in Imperial held cities. What the Empire hunts down are people who take up armas AGAINST the Empire. Its more of a anti-revolutionary stance than your typical Gustapo deal. They also don't seem to be involved in arresting people under the Talos ban. They are heavy handed when it comes to civil unrest, but in most cases they seem to be supportive and downright protective of the general population. The Thalmor, on the other hand, are your classic racial supremists. All other 'races' (The probably view them as barely above animals) are useful for manual labour if their lucky, target practice if their not. You could have noticed a nice and neat interrogation room in every Imperial or sormcloak keep - right from a game start, when you are about to be executed just in case. As for now, the Aldmeri provinces have much wider authonomy than they did as part of the Empire, and Aldmeri occuparion during the Great War was nothing compared to say Ulfic's tactics, who also was an imperial subordinate when taking back the Reach. And yeah, the Dunmer servant was treated like a servant, while the human nobility was treated like a nobility in the Embassy.
