bowlfreaknot
Is it just me or does the in-game description for the destruction magic perks say that they use MORE magic and do more damage?? so someone tell me this is a Bethesda typo? taking the perk causing the spells to use less magicka and due more damage, correct? bpestilence
Are you referring to the dual casting perk, or the perks such as "apprentice destruction"? Dual casting does in fact take more magika than simply casting two versions of the same spell, and is therefore only really useful in the illusion school. Or are you referring to "impact"? It also uses more magic than the same spell without impact, but is still very useful for taking down dragons. bowlfreaknot
Sorry, I meant in the Apprentice/Adept/Expert/Master Destruction Perks in the Destruction Magic tree. The description if you highlight any of them reads, "Destruction spells cost MORE magicka and do additional damage." But that's not wrong.... right?? nerokenyura
That's not anywhere close to what they read. They read 'cast X level destruction spells for half magicka".
Meddle0
Maybe you modded your destruction magic and forgot about it =p
bowlfreaknot
nope, i wouldn't know how to mod it myself, unless one of the mods i added changed the description... I'm going to have to take out all my mods and check it... and then if it's still like that i'll post a screen shot.

Impact requires that you dual cast and the two together is a game changer, so it's definitely useful beyond just Illusion. Even if your target survives the hit, it's staggered long enough for you to do it again ... and again ... and again.
