numpork
The LOD for dragonsreach in Whiterun does not load properly for me. The building is invisible except for the windows. I have read that the classic version of 'a quality world map' is known to cause this, but I tried uninstalling it and it did not fix the issue. However, I did notice that even though I uninstalled the mod in nexus mod manager, I still had the effects of the mod in-game (There were still roads on the map). So clearly the mod has not fully uninstalled. So any idea? First of all on how to fully uninstall a quality world map, and secondly of a fix for the dragonsreach issue (if a quality world map is not the issue). numpork
I manually uninstalled a quality world map by deleting the files that it creates (for some reason mod manager wasn't getting rid of them). This did not fix the problem. I then tried to deactivate all of my mod plugins and then checked if the lod was working and the result is in the picture attached. It stopped the building from being invisible, but the lod is still wrong.
usernamesan
I have same issue. I have reinstalled with no fix. I have used tes5lodgen with minimal experience and also use NexusModManager. Edited January 24, 2017 by usernamesan
usernamesan
Hello again, I have more information after trying to fix this. I had experimented with ugrid settings before i started to have this problem and in my attempt to reinstall and delete all my dot.ini file i was not able to fix it. But..... i have now switched my ugrid=9 and uLargeRefLODGridSize=21. also i have added uExterior Cell Buffer=100 ,uGridsToLoad=9 ,iPreloadSizeLimit=51380224 back into my skyrim.ini file. and bam, everything loads fine again. This means at least for me, there must not me a problem with texture or mesh resource. So how come a fresh install of skyrim special edition with newly created ini files is having this issue? If i change ugridstoload= 7 or 9 its fine. I'm thinking somehow the skyrim default INI configs have something wrong/missing.
