LE You like the Guard Armors?

Hi, this may or may not seem as a pathetic Exeuse for a requested mod, but hey atleast im honest about it.

 

So... Guard armors and helmets... who else here thinks they are f***ing awesome? I sure do, not only becouse i think they appeal to me in a national sense(( im swedish and those guard helmets are almost spot on when it comes to viking lore... almost )) but also becouse i think they sum up speed and eaven defense appearance wise fairly well. and they match with my thiefs guild gloves/boots. so heres the request.

 

Id like someone to make a standlone armor that you could craft (( with colour options for the banner colour and the shield )) which would be the whiterun armor, with differant colours and the shields Icon would be that of the Menu screen, the dragon symbol, who else thinks this is a great idea? i know there will soon (( atleast i think there will be )) be heavy armor mods out there and sure, heavy armor is good. but im one of those mad Archer / onehand and shield guys that favor agility and strength over being hauled down by a thick coat of plate, its just me.

 

So the idea is you go to the forge when you reach steel (( yes steel smithing perk based )) we add a new tab to the forge called '' Light Chain Armor '' that then has all the armors with differant colours in it. so if you wish to make a solitude armor, the red one, you will need red mountain flowers and charcoal + salt maybe? and the same but with differant alchemy reagents for differant colours, same for the shield and helm seeing as its cloth will have need to have the same colour as the armor, obviously.

 

Now i suck at modding, i really do, all i ever did in oblivion was make some custom armors based on the already existing ones and then add stats and magic n s***. so texture work and scripting aint my strong side... yes this would need some texture modding. not heavy modding but some, just to get rid of the icon of the guard shields and then add a custom one over the pain.

 

anyone who wants to do this, feel free. ill check this post for the comming weeks and see if anyone is intrested. also pardon my english. its not my native.
