Having trouble getting an NPC to change outfits via script during AI P

So, I've been having a bit of a problem with scripts. I have an NPC that is animating, using an animation marker and I need them to change outfits while they are using this. They are using the furniture marker, via an AI Package that is triggered by a script.

 

I'm not sure if it is the AI package or the animation or furniture marker is causing the NPC not to change. I have tested it under a few different conditions and when the clothing does finally change, it seems rather at random. Anyone else know what causes this?
