yarddogg77
I'm trying to place objects into the render window in Creation Kit. I'm getting seriously annoyed. Is there any setting in creation kit which will allow me to disable clicking on everything that is the vanilla game and landscape? I only want to edit the objects I'm adding, I have no desire to move mountains around and screw up the game and mod. Seriously annoying when I'm trying to click on something I've added to move it or scale it and the creation kit decides I'm clicking on something else. Urtho
Try using the 1 on the numberpad to hide selected references in the render window, use ALT + 1 Numberpad to return all references to a viewable/clickable state. Do this on any objects in your working area that you don't want to change so you can work only on what you want to. Experiment with the View menu for the render window - you can show/hide various items with the checkboxes. While in the window itself, M will hide/show all markers, L will hide/show all lights and so on. Investigate the hotkey shortcut reference in the same view dropdown. Also learn CTL + Z which is the undo command. If you ever move something you don't want to move, hit that immediately and it will revert back to the original position. The reference may still be marked as edited however, make sure you clean your plugin at some point to remove any such dirty edits.
yarddogg77
No doubt, I just shut down creation kit and restart it everytime I move something it gets old. I was wondering if there were options to avoid screwing things up. I did recently find the undo command, I just bethesda would have given us a better way to avoid this issue. Anyway, thanks for the tips I will try them for sure. I would hate to release a mod that leaves things floating in the sky and such. LOL.
