so i have read that its "better" to disable both of these (Aliasing & Filtering) & let your GPU control panel take care of it

in doing so im seeing a slight degradation in visual quality but an increase in FPS

does anyone have any info or opinion to share regarding this ?

I have a weird bug regarding FSAA. When it's turned on via Launcher, I get some texture errors, some seem transparent (trolls, Khajiiti heads, ice shoals on water etc), and there's some kind of transparent box layer on the screen, parts of where the transparency seems to not work and parts where it works (see screenshots). Any ideas/solutions?

Turning on the FSAA settings through nVidia Settings has no effect - there's no Anti-Aliasing to be seen ingame. Probably why you saw a slight FPS increase.

I use a Intel E8400 3.0GHz, 4gB RAM, Vista and a nV GTX580 running with v290.53 Beta.

Edit: Updating from 285.62 to the Beta 290.53 drivers helped with the transparency/AA issue. No, it didn't
