LE Importing Models and Textures from Dragon Age into Skrym

Hello All you wonderful Modders,

 

I was curious to know if it was possible to Import the Models and Textures from One Game (dragon age origins) into another (Skyrim). Specifically, I have never like the appearance of elves in the elder scrolls games. I loved the way they were proportioned and modeled in Dragon Age. Maybe I'm getting old or maybe it's just me, but I love that Tolkien aesthetic. I guess the real question is whether it would be easier to import or if it would be easier to create new meshes and textures to replace those in Skyrim? If anybody is working on this or has any thoughts on this I would love to hear from you.

Possible? Yes, legal to distribute? Nope. So if someone did port the to |Skyrim they would not be able to upload/distribute them since it would be copyright infringement. This post by the site owner Dark0ne goes into more detail "porting" assets from one game to another and the legal problems with it.

But somebody could write a tutorial on how to DIY if you have both games, for personal use, i guess.

 

Sounds like hard work to me if the games use different engines.

You have to rig them, and place them in game. That is about all, I have never done it though. Might want to ask LordOfWar.

Interesting information on porting from one game to another.

 

Oh well, I guess I will have to either delve a little deeper into gaining modding know-how or wait until someone releases an elf mod that suits me.
