Magatsu
Im starting my new character tomorrow and im taking some time to plan so i dont ruin it. I want a unarmed char for once and was wondering if... -Unarmed, will it be sufficent or will i need another weapon too? - Is it strength, agility or speed that increase the damage/accuaricy? (as for skilling, fortifying skills and such) - Do i have to use a billon years on each opponement or will my char with 100 (str/ag/spd?!) knock down an enemy with a few hits.(a friend of mine says he tried a char unarmed, but everytime he knocked them down they came up again. He never "passed" out an enemy and gave up unarmed after lvl.20`s) - Is it true that with the newest update unarmed is useless, or will i still be able to knock people unconnciouss and take their stuff? - From unconncious people -- can i steal equipped weapons, armor? ( f.ex. like taking almalexias sword and wait til she wakes up and take a real martial arts fight with her? :D knock Divayth out take armor and go on without breaking the "prophecy") - Have you tryed an unarmed char, how is it? Thx for help :)
cmac
Hand to Hand skill is not a good skill for main weapon- it takes a long time to knock people out, and most other people will have weapons and will kill you faster than you can knock them out. H2H is a very slow form of attack, and the target can only be killed point-by-point after thaey have been knocked unconcious. I would highly suggest making a weapon your main offensive item. Before the patch, you could knock people out and steal their stuff. Divalyth Fyr was a prime target for this, as were other people from which the player needed items from. Almalexia, even if the unconcious stealing were possible, would be extremly hard to knock out, with fatigue points in the thousands, and guards who will make you a human kabob if you so much as touch Her. DreamOfTheRood
I have never played a character with hand-to-hand as the main attack for a very simple reason: no character in the game worth three cents uses hand-to-hand. You see those brigands who use hand-to-hand that just get laid to waste with your axe? Yeah, that's the reason I don't use hand to hand. You'll just get your head handed to you. Edit: Yeah, a billion years seems about right, especially when you're taking on the more advanced enemies.
Myris
It is very hard to play with an uarmed character. I have tried it once, but gave up very quickly because it takes ages to defeat your enemy's. :( But if you are going to try it, try to get your strength as high as possible as wel as your unarmored skill. But even then it is quite hard to defeat your foe's.
Ëlwe (Thingol)
I don't think you'd see knocking out main weapon of hand-to-hand, if you knock someone down after his faitigue dropped to 0 you can start hurting him, also the funny thing is that the other can barely hit you with faitigue 0 so when his faitigue is 0 you practicly won so I advise you getting a drain faitigue spell and the beat the crap outta them. Though I have to say a big sword makes em die quicker. Ëlwe
ShinJiOh
Yo, everyone else... shut your yaps, it can be done,(though i use a few spells like open door, heal, you can't have enchanted fists you know, maybe gloves but not fists) but it does need to be at a good level, however in my searches i found a way to raise your hand-to-hand level from 5 to 100 in 10 mins, without money, without training and without cheating..... this is the ancient art of Shinjioism it is also a spoiler so if u want it PM me. have fun and bring back the biff. Almelexia
And if you use hand to hand you can never realy kill those stronger people like gaenor in Mournhold. If you want to defeat them you must for sure use some weapons.
ShinJiOh
I concur but that's why i said you must also use spells

If you dont like the hth skill the way it is now, or are just cant hack it without your daedric axe of one hit kills, there is a editor and you can change the values for HTH damage in it, although i should point out that doing so is a two way street you do more fatigue damage with hth but so do npcs. HTH and Unarmored is much like playing a theif or other stealth charecter, the idea is you are never actualy seen by anything you cant take out. ohGr
well, ive managed to kill a imperial guard once with a handtohand skill of 100, although, it literally took me 20 whole minutes, because once that sword came out, my restore potions went down the....mouth.... its one of those things you would use to a cheap advantage, knockem down, pull out your sword, and slash him a few times, or stab, whatever tickles the most damage, and repeat, i use it that way, and since i have a high strength, which is now 177, knocking their fatigue down is easy.
