Patch 1.3.1 help!!!

Hey guys, so I had a very strange issue recently, were the fps on Skyim suddenly dropped pretty dramatically, regardless of my graphical settings. Two weeks prior the game worked great, virtually no issues at all. So I read around for a while on the internet and found that the culprit could be Bethesda's most recent patch for Skyrim. The other strange thing is that I had a large amount of fps drop in several other games (all of which have been downloaded via steam). Is there anyway to increase Skyrim's fps before the next patch?

Also my specs are:

Latitude E6410

Intel® Core I7 CPU M620 @ 2.67GHz 2.67GHz

4.00GB (3.86 Usable) of installed memory

64bit Operating system

My graphics card:

NVIDIA NVS 3100M

also one final thing, on the dxdiag display panel I saw the my graphics card was running in a 32bit 59hz display mode, is this a problem?

The problem is your integrated video chip. OR what I assume is integrated. Its not powerful enough me thinks, that and your CPU could be a small bottleneck. I would look into getting a new computer because the one you have looks a bit dated.

Yeah, I figured that it had something to do with my graphics card. Also my computer is only a year old and 2 weeks ago had no problem running almost any game. I was running skyrim on high settings with a good frame rate but all the sudden it started lagging, along with all my other games.

If all your other games are lagging then you are barking up the wrong tree by blaming Bethsoft. Look for problems in your system. Check for viruses, clean your start programs up, defrag, get rid of background processes (like Skype, VOIP, IM programs and many others)

I recently had a some-what similar issue. At the same time I got the 1.3.1. update.

(I have not had time or bravery to test this with skyrim yet) But I got everything else running properly again by manually un-installing my video card drivers, then re-installing them.

Though I am running ATI cards. So it may be a totally un-related issue, but hey you never know, might work.

Cheers,

Chris.
