zearon Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Hi, I know there might be other forum topics about this but I don't really have time to look through. I use the NMM for my mods (Only because where ever I do it manually my "Data Files" is non-clickable for what ever reason) yes, I'm some what new at modding. I've tried continually downloading weapon mods, like; JaySuS and Midas Magic. What ever I do they will not be in my game. Can someone please reply and help me with my problem.
Lhamaria Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 As far as I know some mods arn't compatible in package structure with NMM, but don't take my word for it. You'll also need to check each mod in NMM I guess (I'm not using NMM or anything else since I prefere to do everything manual). As for not being able to enable mods through the launcher there should be an ini setting to fix that.
zearon Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 I would do it all manually but, when ever I do on my Launch screen my "Data Files" option is non-clickable. If you know how to fix this please reply back,
Lhamaria Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) 1. Locate the skyrimprefs.ini file (Documents\My games\Skyrim) Note: There's another skyrimprefs.ini in the install directory, but that is the wrong.ini 2. Open it up with notepad 3. Hold Ctrl + F to open the search function 4. Type Launcher and hit Enter. [Launcher] should show up 5. Close the search field 6. Under the [Launcer] paste (above the existing text) bEnableFileSelection=1 bShowAllResolutions=1 uLastAspectRatio=3 bLoadLooseFiles=1 That should fix the issue. edit - fixed some typos Edited January 15, 2012 by Lhamaria
EmziSt Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Also in NMM You can just go to the plugins tab (upper left corner). And All plugins You dropped manually in the Data folder should be there aswell. So You can just enable them on that tab too.
