Marcus Wolfe
Ask him to hold a balloon full of hydrogen over his head and pop it with a burning splint. Also, be sure to film this process and post it on youtube or www.owned.com
Vagrant0
Please stop posting suggestions that have the potential for causing injury. Just because someone wants to be our little lab rat doesn't mean that you should suggest things which are impractical or dangerous.
Marxist ßastard
Drop the magnesium in the glass of water. At room temperature, even magnesium ribbon won't do anything in water unless it's already on fire. The dust can be explosive when wet, but a detonator is required. H2O + Mg = H2 + MgONo. Magnesium hydroxide is produced, not magnesium oxide. try pure potassiumWhile you're at it, substitute the water for 3 M sulfuric acid. That would also make the magnesium reaction a bit more aggressive, if you could get it to start up in the first place.
Marcus Wolfe
Whoops.... I take ecology for one week and I forget almost everything I know about chemistry! I was saying Magnesium, but I was thinking Sodium and Lithium!
Carah
I drink on the opposite side of a glass of water. Did you know, and this is just a theory. The reason why we hiccup trased back to when our species had gills, and it's a gill reflex. When you watch a fish take in water; it's the same as a hiccup. This is what the Scientists think, but there not to sure.
