You're in good hands with Kitty Black, but you might want to also read the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice", which is written with someone like you in mind. It provides a broad overview of many things about modding that everyone needs to know.

 

Don't be concerned about being new. Everyone is when they first start modding any game. People in the forums are here because they want to help. No one knows it all. It's just that some have been at it longer and have more experience than others.

We all learn by doing ,and making the mistakes..LOT's of em, believe me, becasue we were there first and have gained the knowledge from those mistakes, we can guide you a lot better from that experience we have.

 

we don't know all things, but i do know a lot !

 

I have my day's too as all humans do, some times i wish I did not know what i know.

Some days things get heated becasue of that. I have no tongue left from the biting of it.

 

with that comes what follows. we self moderate what we do or choose to do.

This is a place of knowledge. It's an assembly of the whole that shared interests in one thing.........Games.

 

If we can help and choose to help, you will know by how it is put forth given you have that of a same mind.

No one here is perfect, we need to have an understanding or the problem in full or as much detail as possible so we draw from our knowledge banks "Brains" and put out what we believe fits the situation.

 

It's just data to me. But to you, it's your world as it is now, what you need help with. we can help if we have the time and energy to comply with the request.

 

Last: Absolutely no one is perfect so expect situations where misinformation or not enough is given will result in thew wrong advise.

 

I can look past a lot of posts as I do and still will attempt to help even the most frustrated person and not know it, get it thrown back in my face and just shrug it off.

 

Or My claws come out...and believe me, they are every sharp. Frustration is a lack of some sort of understanding of whats going on...where ever that may be.

 

I know that. Some do not care to recognize it takes 2 to make it work, some times a lot more.

 

I have nothing to gain by all of this except to find out what people are capable of doing with games software ,Good or bad, right or wrong.

 

we are not your babysitters but some times we may seem to be.
