sammmdovah
I have had a 2 year break from Skyrim and am now ready to play it again. I mainly want to use special edition so i don't have to bother using lots of graphic mods, but as i look at comparison vids on youtube SE looks just brighter and not much better but may look better in game, i have not installed SE yet. My last play through had 100+ mods. I basically want to keep it bare bones and just use patch mods and armors and stuff like that. So should i bother with Special edition? Skagens
From what I've understood, Skyrim SE is just regular Skyrim but with some ENB and some better physics, not much is done in the texture department. Most likely, if you want SE to look like you want, you'll want to use some sort of texture mod. I personally play on the regular version for now as I use mods that, to me, are crucial. Meaning I cannot enjoy Skyrim without them, and many of them have not been ported to SE yet. It all depends on what you can and cannot do without. If you aren't bothered much when it comes to textures, I recommend SE (Although I'm sure there are some texture mods for SE as well). Again, I might be wrong but this is just my understanding of SE. Yeah i feel the same way as you, I've been looking through the SE mods and there isn't enough of the ones i want to play with. Thanks

Thanks As Skyrim has alot of replayability, I urge that you wait a few months so that maybe some more mods you use are ported and once they are, you start a new playthrough in SE. NexusComa
I'd sick with the older version just cuz a lot of mods don't work on the newer one ... Edited January 28, 2017 by NexusComa
