It's in the OP, it's obvious what I added. The script is on the actor doing the killing.

No, It is not in the "OP" your onkill script is in the "OP".

Here is the wiki page for this event.

https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=OnDying_-_Actor

"Event called when the actor begins dying."

"akKiller: The Actor that killed this one."

How could you have expected this to work on the Actor that does the killing?

You could use and enchantment or spell. When the "Target" is being effected by the magic effect you can run the OnDying script on them.

Yeah, and Di0nysys said to try OnDying instead and that's the only thing that was changed. How is what I did not obvious to you?

I didn't, but I gave it a go as advised. Thought there might be a shifty way to reverse check the actor dying or something.

As I said earlier, I was trying to do it from within the actor. As you said, the event is only available in FO4. So I've got to use an enchantment. Not sure how to do it with a spell if the actor uses melee.

Ya Reverse check the actor. Good idea. When you need help with a script post the full script. Even a genius like you should know and be able to understand that.

No. Your obsession with the script name is on you. The first post outlines what it extends to, nothing new was added, just switched with what was advised.

If you don't want to share your spell method, fine. Go find another thread to whine about your inability to extrapolate.
