Gradating
When on, there is a purple missing texture box where the glow for the radio would be. Installing a texture replacer doesn't fix it. I'm not using the bloom remover for Fnassen's Light Tweaks. It doesn't seem to be a reported bug for Old World Radio. damanding
I'm not sure if that part of the radio has a glass texture or not, but if it does it might be the bethesda glass bug. There's a vanilla glass texture that periodically just stops working randomly and not for everyone, nor does it consistently not work once its started. I've seen it in kitchen stoves a lot. My mod author colleague Evanpox just recently got it in the glass of magnifying glasses of all things. Evan actually took the glass pane out of the stove and fridge meshes for the Modular Kitchen mod and the CREAtive Clutter mod for that reason. Otherwise if you're using a radio retexture you might want to manually download the mod somewhere of your choice so you can compare the files with the installed files to make sure your mod manager installed them all correctly. Gradating
It only appears when on, not off, so it shouldn't be related to glass. I've tried retextures, and removing all retextures. It looks like Old World has their own texture install path, so it's not that.
damanding
If it does a material swap when you turn the radio on it is still possibly related to the glass (if it is using a glass texture there) because it might be a different texture depending on state. I'm not at home to look at the materials for it though. It's still an odd bug though.
Gradating
It appears to be an issue only with radios placed by mods. In this instance, Quaz30's Coastal Cottage Redone. It's not an issue with the models placed with the builder (see screenshot). I'll try manually deleting and replacing the models in the kit, and see if that clears it up. Gradating
Replacing the model with the vanilla Radio in the kit fixed the issue. Quaz was using a copy for the radio, and the copy most likely used assets from an older patch.
damanding
Actually I chatted with Quaz about it and he said it isn't a problem with his mod but actually a memory problem for that specific area. Apparently the effect usually occurs with special effects like animated tv screens and radio glow. Since it's a memory problem, it's going to be inconsistent. By replacing the model it simply forced the game to adjust its memory usage.
jaderiver
I found this quite help full and have struck this when running thru town doing ada"s quest and turn a random radio on in a diner and purple glow thing happened, :pinch: I was trying to think for life of me, just want mod is it doing it , when after reading this, its isn't any mod per say but its an area game memory thing ./whew, ..Here I was thing I'd have to tediously sift thru my mods not that I use a whole heck of a lot ...   Edited March 1, 2018 by jaderiver
