Thalan1a
I'm gonna ask a dumb question. I know it's dumb because I should know the answer. What all do I need to start modding Skyrim? The last thing I modded was Fallout New Vegas and it has been a while since I did that. I know I need the SKSE but what else?
huntsman2310
Well usually all the programs that you used to mod FNV theoretically should work for Skyrim since many of the formats are the same (NIFs, esps, and ESMs) And Blender and GIMP are still good for modelling and texturing respectively. Nifskope is still good too.
Thalan1a
I mean just to be able to add mods to Skyrim. I'm no good at making mods. I tried once and never go through with it.Plus I can't remember what all I had to add to the root folder and data folder in order to be able to mod FNV. I remember using NVSE but can't remember the rest Edited January 16, 2012 by Thalan1a
huntsman2310
Have you heard of the Nexus Mod Manager? It handles all the mods for Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3. Usually thats all you need unless theres a extra requirement on the mods page.
